OMPlanet/Definition
Description
OmPlanet is a multidimensional network ecosystem to connect individuals, youth/spiritual/ecological communities, NGOs, non-formal educational institutions or civil/social organizations dealing with sustainable life-style and well-being projects or from other related fields.
This is both a social and an ICT project incorporating the innovations in both fields, connecting inspired real life endeavours through new Web 3.0 technologies.
OmPlanet has interconnected 12 Dimensions which together provide an interoperable platform to facilitate free communication, efficient collaboration, independent self-organization, co-creativity, open exchange of information, services or material resources.
This is an evolving platform and we can not be certain about its concrete final outlook. Yet, we can be creative and try to imagine and actually see some of the dimensions already existing here and now.t Examples: federated social networks, self-organized activity platforms, efficient p2p transportation (car/ride sharing), couch sharing, communal sustainable living projects, experimental settlement projects, transparent banking systems, market-free exchange zones, etc.
The informal purposes of the project is to project the vision of fair and just human affairs into all areas of human activity, to em-power people to help themselves with more understanding, cooperation and fair exchange.
OmPlanet will have no profit-driven company, organization or any entity owning or controlling it in a centralized way. No one should receive direct credits or provide direct goods on behalf of OmPlanet. It is a free software with interoperable protocols open to all communities, organizations and individuals. To sustain itself it will need an administrative core but that too will rely entirely on its members' voluntary contributions and take into full account their decision-making power.
The free will of people will keep the project going forward for as long as the project is useful. Together, we have the ability to transform societies and economies by putting them into the hands of many more individuals and providing them freedom to self-organize and co-create.
